On November 25th, 2014, Greencells Group GmbH, together with the Chinese technology group HUAWEI, is hosting the 1st Europe Solar Day. About 160 international guests from the energy sector are expected to attend the congress. Guests, contributions and panel will be exceptionally good. For example, Nick Boyle from Lightsource, the world’s largest fund for renewable energies, will be one of the speakers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the beginning, the Prime Minister of the Saarland, Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer, will greet the guests with a welcoming speech.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The congress will focus on modern strategies facilitating the further development of solar energy. Large-scale solar projects, in particular, have to struggle with all kinds of obstacles which may significantly extend the period until successful realization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
„The talks are examining modern implementation strategies: from IT methods via legal models to the conversion of polluted areas and to development aid,“ says Andreas Hoffmann, CEO of Greencells.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
HUAWEI is a remarkable technology group with a staff of 140,000 and a turnover reaching the equivalent of about 35 billion dollars (in 2013) – hence global leader in the field of IT networks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For some time, the company has already been strongly involved in the segment of renewable energies, with a focus on boosting efficiency and facilitating grid integration by use of IT strategies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The German event partner is the Saarbr\u00fccken-based company Greencells Group. Since its establishment in 2009, Greencells has, within a short period of time, evolved into one of the largest European constructors of photovoltaic plants on power plant scale. The company, based on the site of the former repair plant in Burbach, was already given the task of constructing projects with more than 700 megawatts of output. In the Saarland, it has connected a total of 42 megawatts to the grid in 11 projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Together with HUAWEI, in Landsweiler-Reden, the largest solar plant ever was constructed on the former slag heap on behalf of RAG, using a new string-inverter technology.
