Greencells has been in business for over 15 years now. What started as a compact construction company, has evolved into an integrated Developer-EPC with over 3 GW of solar parks built all over the world and a development portfolio of close to 4 GW.

Both the EPC and the Development business have reached an advanced stage of maturity now. We would like to give both businesses the best chances to thrive – and receive the attention and resources they need to do so. Therefore, a spinoff of our Development business was decided in 2023.

On 09. December 2024, this has become a reality as we announce the sale of our Development platform to investors Davidson Kempner and Nature Infrastructure Capital.

For us as founders and certainly also for colleagues at both businesses, this is a huge milestone and the culmination of years spent focusing on the growth of Greencells.

We are convinced that both businesses will benefit from being managed as a standalone unit and are highly involved in steering the transition process. Andreas will become the CEO of the new venture, however will remain close to Greencells´ EPC operations as shareholder and advisory board member.
